The materials distributor opened a new, 15,000 ft² design gallery for stone and tile offerings at its Orange corporate headquarters last week, offering a positive note about the company and its plans.

“Despite a continued challenging economic environment over the last two years, MSI remains committed to investing to bring innovation and increased product choice,” said company CEO Manu Shah. “The main goal of our new design center is to showcase these products for our wholesale customers.”

The design center includes MSI’s newest product offerings, including approximately 20 lines of porcelain, 25 new colors of natural-stone slabs, 200 new SKUs of wall tile and mosaics, Q Premium Natural Quartz and a brand-new line of prefabricated countertops and stainless-steel sinks.

                 

“We are happy to report that in 2010, we will maintain our internal goal of achieving 15 percent of our revenue from new products or product lines,” Shah added.

The design center also includes MSI’s continuing product line of granite, marble, slate, travertine, limestone, quartz, porcelain, ceramic, sinks, and glass mosaics serving the flooring, countertop, and landscaping industries.

With products imported from 36 different countries, MSI’s corporate headquarters maintains more than 1,500 containers of inventory, offering customers one of the largest selection of natural stone and related products in the country.

The design center joins the MSI network of 11 distribution centers nationwide, as well as four U.S. sales offices in the Midwest, South and Southwest and international offices in Brazil, China, India and Turkey.

The new stone and tile design gallery is located at 2095 N. Batavia St. in Orange (Lat 33.823216, Lng 117.861950).
